You seem to be misrepresenting the devastating role that methane plays as a GHG and are confusing it with the comparatively minuscule carbon dioxide exchange that ruminants contribute towards. The truth remains that ruminant animals (and all other methane emitters) are releasing the methane right now, which will be present in the atmosphere for at least the next 10 years as you stated in your article. These are the make or break years where we need to change our food systems, social systems, and industrial systems. Don’t down-play the facts for the sake of a click bait title. Please consider going vegan for our planet, your health, and the animals.
